The SMF is delighted to host an important speech on the national identity service. The nature of individual identity and the security of personal information are topics at the top of the political agenda. In this speech Meg Hillier MP will set out the government’s view of a national identity service in the context of an increasing need for individuals to prove their identity and a proliferation of different organisations holding and organising personal information. There will be a speech followed by a question and answer session.
