In this keynote speech, the Secretary of State will explore his view that deprived children have been betrayed by a so-called ‘progressive’ approach to education which denies them access to the best that has been thought and written.
He will explain why he believes that those in favour of greater equality of opportunity should also be in favour of what has been called ‘traditional’ education, and will explore what teaching and the curriculum should provide to enable children from more deprived backgrounds to achieve their potential.
This event is now fully booked. However we will be recording the speech and compiling a Storify of tweets, which will be available on this website.
