
On Thursday 21st May the SMF held an event, kindly supported by Just Retirement, at which Lord McKenzie of Luton, Parliamentary under-Secretary of State for Work and Pensions spoke about the government's position on annuities. Also speaking at the event, which was entitled Short Changed: Are pensionersgetting a good deal?, were Steve Kyle, Director of Just Retirement Solutions; Stephen Hadrill, Director General of Association of British Insurers; and Jane Vass, Financial Services Policy Advisor, Age Concern and Help the Aged. SMF Director, Ian Mulheirn, chaired the discussion.
