In the wake of the banking crisis and subsequent recession, the SMF are publishing a new report that explores consumer trust in the financial services industry. The culmination of seven months’ work, A confidence crisis? Restoring trust in financial services presents evidence from a major poll on consumer trust, and suggests policies to improve consumer financial outcomes.
Following on from two SMF roundtables earlier in the year, this launch events will be an opportunity to discuss the causes of the decline in public trust in the financial services industry and policies to restore it.
