The view from the ground: Building a greater understanding of the impact of fraud and how the public view what policymakers should do about it

At this event, we launched our new report exploring the kinds of impacts that being a victim of fraud can have on people and present new public opinion data on fraud.

Fraud is a significant problem facing the country. SMF research has estimated that across the period April 2021 to March 2022, there were around 10,800 frauds committed per 100,000 adults in the UK. The SMF’s new report will explore the kinds of impacts that being a victim of fraud can have on people and present new public opinion data on fraud.
